Binance Reopens More Cryptocurrency Withdrawals as Exchange Continues Recovery From $6.3 Billion Security Breach

GLOBAL — Binance has begun reopening withdrawals for additional cryptocurrency assets across several blockchain networks as it continues restoring services following a security breach that resulted in approximately $6.3 billion in stolen digital assets. In an official recovery update published on November 3, 2026, the exchange confirmed that the next withdrawal phase would begin at 04:00 UTC, following the initial restoration of selected services on November 1. The phased approach is intended to bring more assets back online while security and operational checks are completed.

Additional Networks Return to Withdrawal Operations

The latest update covers assets across BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron, and Base. Binance listed a broad range of cryptocurrencies scheduled for restoration, including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Chainlink, and several stablecoins. The exchange emphasized that the reopening would not happen simultaneously for every asset. Instead, individual network and asset combinations would become available progressively as checks were completed.

The company also advised customers to check the withdrawal page and network status information before initiating transactions. Temporary delays may occur as traffic increases during the restoration process. Deposit services remain open and are not affected by the latest withdrawal changes.

Recovery Follows Significant Customer Outflows

The reopening follows an earlier disruption after the security incident led Binance to restrict certain withdrawal services. Reuters reported on November 1 that customers withdrew a net $3.64 billion during the first day after withdrawals resumed, representing approximately 2.1% of the exchange’s reported assets. Binance said outflows had begun stabilizing and that deposits remained substantial.

The exchange also stated that it had replaced or recovered approximately 95% of the stolen assets using company resources and reserves. The remaining portion involved less liquid assets that could take longer to source. Binance said the financial impact would be borne by the company rather than passed on to customers.

Security Checks Remain Central to the Restoration

The staged reopening reflects the operational complexity of restoring withdrawals after a major security incident. Each supported blockchain network has different technical requirements, transaction mechanisms, and risk considerations. Reopening services requires more than simply switching a platform feature back on; exchanges must also verify infrastructure, wallet controls, and transaction processing.

Customers may still encounter delays or temporary restrictions while the remaining assets are restored. Binance has said it will continue issuing updates as additional withdrawals become available.

Exchange Confidence Will Depend on the Recovery

The incident has placed renewed attention on cryptocurrency exchange security, custody practices, and the ability of large platforms to maintain access to customer assets during emergencies. Binance’s restoration process is an important operational milestone, but the broader consequences will depend on the final investigation, the handling of remaining stolen funds, and the effectiveness of security improvements.

For the cryptocurrency industry, the episode reinforces the importance of transparent incident communication and resilient withdrawal infrastructure. The latest update demonstrates progress, although a complete return to normal operations will depend on the successful restoration of all affected services.
