Since 1970, the Chiefs are world champions. Of course, this calls for a celebration for their fabulous achievement.
The Kansas City Chiefs went out, did their jobs, and won the Lombardi Trophy. Now it’s time to bring it home.
With their furious fourth-quarter comeback leading to a 31-20 Super Bowl 54 win, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are heading to Disney World. But first, they’re heading back home to Kansas City with the Lombardi Trophy, to celebrate with the rest of Chiefs Kingdom, and it’ll be a doozy.
Along with the parade, the celebration will include a victory rally at Union Stadium. There will be a stage in front of Union Station, and, for those attending the festivities, the National WWI Museum and Memorial will host viewing opportunities on its north lawn.
The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers, 31-20, Sunday night in Miami for their second championship title. A championship parade hadn’t happened in Kansas City since 2015 when the Royals’ World Series championship parade was held in downtown Kansas City.
Now a massive amount of super bowl and Chiefs fans will feature school students, as Kansas City district schools have canceled Wednesday classes to allow for students to partake in the celebration.
