Plenty of crypto-meets-AI projects are still living in pitch decks. Cysic has been shipping. The pitch is easy to state and hard to build: zero-knowledge proofs are becoming the backbone of blockchain scaling, but generating them is expensive and concentrated among a handful of providers. Cysic wants to decentralize that prover layer and turn raw computing power into a verifiable, tokenized on-chain asset, a paradigm it calls ComputeFi. Since its December 2025 mainnet launch, the project has moved at a pace most small-caps can’t match.
From proofs to AI agents
The most attention-grabbing step came in March, when Cysic AI went live on mainnet with cryptographically verifiable multi-agent swarms, where a single prompt can trigger a full workflow, from memecoin contract deployment to artwork and copywriting, with a proof attached that each step ran correctly. That “prove the AI actually did what it claimed” angle takes direct aim at the black-box trust problem hanging over AI services. Underneath sits real infrastructure: a Proof-of-Compute consensus and a distributed prover network of more than 260,000 nodes. The team upgraded the mainnet proving system to its Venus zkVM in April, then went further in June by open-sourcing a full FPGA proving stack for it. For a sector heavy on promises, shipped code counts for something.
How the token actually works
Cysic runs a dual-token model that’s worth understanding before trading it. CYS is the tradeable asset that rewards provers, verifiers, and validators, while CGT is a non-tradeable governance token earned through staking. As of early August, CYS trades near $0.42, roughly 45% below its March all-time high around $0.75, with circulating supply near 160 million against a one billion max. The cap table also stands out for a project this size: backers include Polychain Capital, OKX Ventures, and HashKey Capital.
The catalysts and the caveats
Partnerships have stacked up. Cysic tied up with Inference Labs to bring verifiable AI to DeFi, DAO governance, and identity systems, claiming a roughly 90% cut in zkML costs, alongside deals with OpenGradient and P2P.org for institutional staking. The nearer catalyst traders are circling is an August 6 community AMA, where the team plans to discuss Venus and new decentralized AI work. AMAs cut both ways, though. Hype builds into the session, and a sell-the-news dip is common if nothing material lands.
It hasn’t all been clean. The token launch drew community anger over an opaque airdrop, with some large Kaito stakers reporting tiny allocations. Liquidity is thin, and CYS has swung more than 40% in a single day multiple times this year. So is Cysic building something durable, or just riding the ZK-plus-AI narrative while it’s hot? The infrastructure looks genuinely real. The token’s job from here is to prove that demand follows the tech.
What makes Cysic hard to dismiss is the combination: shipped products, name-brand investors, and a story wired directly into two of crypto’s fastest-moving themes. That’s a setup worth watching, provided you respect how fast a chart this thin can turn on you.
