Nick Jonas to join Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson as a new coach in the panel for season 18 of ‘The Voice.’
This surprisingly exciting announcement was first made on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where Blake pop out to scar the Jonas Brothers, as they sat for their interview with the talk show host. Shelton has seen all the seasons from the very start of the show, whereas seasons 18 will be John’s third go and Kelly’s fifth.
Nick Jonas also took his Instagram to handle to announce this big exciting news where he is headed to the Big Red Chair on The Voice. He captioned it as, “Me thinking about joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend and @blakeshelton on season 18 of @nbcthevoice. So excited to finally get to share this with you all.”
Gwen Stefani will not be seen in season 18, who is currently serving as a coach in season 17. Nick Jonas, confirmed as a new coach for show’s spring 2020 season, said in a statement, “It is such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists build and hone in to find their unique voices.”
Nick has previously served as the advisor for Christina Aguilera’s team during season 8 of The Voice.
But, but, but! You never know what might happen within a few minutes! Just like Adam Levine, who also sat among the coach’s panel with Blake, even confirmed to join season 17 alongside Blake. Though, he dropped out before filming began and was replaced by Gwen.
As Gwen is busy with her Las Vegas residency next spring, she’ll be leaving the show, and that’s where Nick steps in.
Nick had a remarkable year after he, Joe, and Kevin got the Jonas Brothers back together six years after their split. They have been touring non-stop since August; they’ll be keeping it going until the beginning of 2020.
Fans are already excited for their touring to end and next spring to unpack and see what it holds!
