The most awaited Apex Legends season 4 is kicking off its fourth season today, February 4. Last week, the developer shared a cinematic trailer to prepare fans for what’s ahead, but that’s nothing compared to seeing the game in action. That’s what Respawn has planned for today.
There’s no doubt that Revenant is the most anticipated part of Apex Legends season 4. The deadly new Legend has remained relatively mysterious up until now, but in the season’s first gameplay trailer, we finally got a look at what kind of skills this dangerous assassin will bring to the game.
As in Apex Legends official Season 4 trailer:
Apex Legends Season 4 Trailer was released on January 30 2020. In the trailer, a blond, human male accepts a bounty contract. Later, the bounty and his cohort are attacked by a large, skeletal-looking robot who can become undead — a callback to Apex’s Halloween Fight or Fright event, in which downed players could respawn as similar-looking undead characters to torment the still-living players.
The trailer shows off Revenant’s ability to make himself and his teammates turn into smoke, though it isn’t clear what that might do. Another moment shows Revenant shooting what looks like a mortar or grenade from his arm, but we’ll have to wait for his full release for more details on that ability.
There’s also footage of the season’s new weapon, a sniper rifle that can be charged to make accurate shots even more deadly. Also coming in season 4 are a few map changes. This will be the first time Respawn Entertainment has made major changes to the game’s World’s Edge map. As with every new season, there are also plenty of new skins showing up with the new Battle Pass, and this trailer gives us a look at a few of those as well.
The trailer was jam-packed with new content, like how Revenant functions in-game, the major changes to the World’s Edge map, new Battle Pass skins and camos, the new Sentinel sniper rifle, and much more.
When does start Apex Legends Season 4?
Needless to say, there was a lot for players to process, and there’s no doubt most fans watched the video several times just to be able to wrap their minds around all of what was shown.
In order to help with that, we’ve put together a list of the five biggest things we learned from the preview about what to expect in Season 4.
- Revenant looks fast and powerful
- Massive changes to World’s Edge map
- In-game strategies will likely change
- Sentinel sniper rifle looks usable
- Potential rivalry brewing between Legends
Apex Legends Season 4 seems like it’s about to start spooling up its releases rather quick. Leaks have now confirmed that past names mentioned other data grabs are in fact new characters, not weapons. And there are eleven of them in total, meaning that more aspects have been leaked than currently exist in the game. There is many more leaked of Apex Legends Season 4 gameplay will come soon.
Apex Legends Season 4 launches on Tuesday, February 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While the release time hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to be around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
