Two Point O Raises $10 Million to Expand Clean-Energy Financing for Indian Businesses

Two Point O Capital, an India-based clean-energy financing platform, has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital. Existing investor Omnivore and angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy also participated. The company plans to use the capital to expand its clean-energy asset portfolio, enter battery energy storage and increase its reach among commercial and industrial customers.

Founded in 2024, Two Point O works with businesses that want to adopt energy and water infrastructure but may not want to carry the full upfront investment. Its model combines financing, technology and project coordination, allowing customers to access equipment and services through structured funding or leasing arrangements.

Moving Beyond Solar Projects

The company currently works across rooftop solar, energy-efficiency upgrades and wastewater treatment. The new funding will help it enter battery energy storage systems, which can allow businesses to manage electricity use, reduce exposure to peak demand and improve the reliability of their energy supply.

Two Point O also intends to deepen its presence in sectors with significant energy and water requirements, including data centres, automotive manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and healthcare. These industries face pressure to manage operating costs while improving energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Financing as a Barrier to Clean-Energy Adoption

For many commercial and industrial businesses, the economics of clean-energy upgrades can be attractive over the long term, but the initial capital requirement remains a major obstacle. A factory may benefit from rooftop solar or more efficient cooling equipment, for example, but the investment can compete with other priorities for capital.

Two Point O aims to address that gap by combining financing with project execution and monitoring. It operates a wholly owned non-banking financial company subsidiary for loan disbursals, while a separate operating entity handles lease and service-based requirements. The company works with equipment manufacturers and engineering, procurement and construction partners to deliver projects rather than carrying out every installation itself.

Technology and Customer Expansion

The startup uses an artificial intelligence and machine-learning platform to assess projects, support underwriting and monitor asset performance. It says its assets under management have grown 1.5 times sequentially in each of the last three quarters, although it has not disclosed the overall AUM figure.

Its reported customer base includes companies such as Premier Energies, Godrej, JK Tyre, Morepen Pharma, Wipro and Phoenix Mills. The company has also outlined plans to expand into the small and medium-sized enterprise segment and build a larger portfolio of financed assets over the next few years.

Execution Will Determine the Next Stage

The funding gives Two Point O additional capital to expand its portfolio, but the business model will require disciplined project selection and careful monitoring. Battery storage and industrial energy-efficiency projects involve different technical and financial risks, and the company will need to ensure that its operating partners deliver the expected performance.

The round highlights investor interest in financing models that can help businesses adopt distributed clean-energy infrastructure. Two Point O’s ability to turn that demand into a repeatable and profitable deployment platform will be central to its next phase of growth
