Key Highlights and Takeaways from World Cloud Show
Jose Carlos P. Reyes from DICT in his keynote on ‘Cloud and Cybersecurity – Government Perspective’ said that, “Fundamental to a country’s Cybersecurity policy is ensuring security across its critical information infrastructures. One of the four key imperatives in the Philippines National Cybersecurity Plan is the protection of critical infrastructures. In most countries like ours, critical infrastructure operators largely reside in the private sector. So, it is important that such a framework promotes close public and private collaboration, and reflects the needs and objectives of all stakeholders.”
“We are viewing Cloud as a digital enabler, and again Cloud is just a technology that we will be using. Our strategies and all new applications should be Cloud-enabled so that we can decide at any time if we want to be on-premise or off-premise,” said Micky Lo from The Bank of New York Mellon, Hong Kong.
The conference was hosted on Vmeets, an advanced virtual events platform specialised in providing a modern digital experience setup for immersive and interactive virtual events that create real engagements, deliver data and drive revenue.
At the virtual events platform, participants discussed key areas and challenges such as; enabling digital workplace with Cloud, data management and security enhancements for the Cloud, multi-Cloud strategy in the digital era, re-imagining Cloud in a post COVID world and more.
