Zetwerk Targets $2.64 Billion Valuation in $518 Million IPO as India’s Startup Market Deepens

0

BENGALURU, Karnataka, Indian manufacturing startup Zetwerk is targeting a valuation of approximately $2.64 billion through an initial public offering worth around $518 million, marking a significant step in its transition from a privately backed business to a publicly traded company.

According to Reuters reporting on October 12, 2026, the company has set a price band of ₹143 to ₹151 per share. The public offering is scheduled to open for subscription on October 15 and close on October 19, with trading expected to begin on October 23.

The proposed listing comes as India’s public markets become an increasingly important route for mature startups seeking capital, liquidity for early investors and greater visibility among institutional shareholders.

Manufacturing Moves Into the IPO Spotlight

Zetwerk operates in manufacturing and supply chain services, connecting customers with production capabilities across industrial and consumer product categories. Its business spans areas including energy equipment and precision components used in consumer electronics, electric vehicles and wearable devices.

The company has built relationships with customers across several industries, including Siemens Gamesa, Acer India, the Indian Air Force and NTPC Renewable Energy, according to Reuters.

This industrial focus distinguishes Zetwerk from consumer internet startups that have traditionally attracted attention in India’s technology ecosystem. Manufacturing businesses often require complex supplier networks, quality controls and operational coordination, creating opportunities for platforms that can help customers manage production at scale.

Revenue Growth and Profitability Remain Central

Zetwerk reported quarterly revenue of approximately ₹41.18 billion, an increase of more than 55% year over year. Its reported loss narrowed to around ₹641.29 million, indicating progress toward improving its financial performance.

The results provide investors with evidence of growth, but the IPO valuation will also depend on the company’s ability to maintain demand, manage working capital and improve profitability as it expands.

Manufacturing businesses can face challenges involving raw material prices, delivery schedules, customer concentration and fluctuations in industrial demand. Managing these risks becomes especially important when a company is growing rapidly across multiple product categories.

IPO Proceeds and Investor Liquidity

The proposed offering includes a fresh issue alongside shares being sold by existing shareholders, including early investors. The fresh capital is intended to support debt repayment and inorganic growth, while the secondary component provides an opportunity for some shareholders to realise part of their investments.

The distinction matters because proceeds from newly issued shares enter the company, while money from shares sold by existing investors goes to those selling shareholders.

For public market investors, the offering will provide an opportunity to assess Zetwerk’s growth prospects, financial discipline and ability to compete in a complex manufacturing environment.

What the Listing Could Mean for Indian Startups

Zetwerk’s IPO illustrates the expanding range of businesses approaching public markets in India. Alongside consumer technology and financial services, manufacturing and industrial technology companies are seeking access to public capital.

The listing’s reception will depend on investor demand, the company’s financial outlook and broader market conditions. If successful, it could strengthen the visibility of technology-enabled manufacturing businesses among public investors.

For Zetwerk, the long-term challenge will be to convert its scale and customer relationships into consistent profits while maintaining operational efficiency in a competitive market.
