Three years is not even enough for most people to earn a degree, yet Stefan Thurairatnam has been able to create a reputation as a marketing genius. From a very young age the Sri Lankan, Toronto raised, content creator has enjoyed photography. Stefan would travel the world with his friends and family while always capturing the moment. Photography and travel were such a prominent passion of his that he took the next step and began his journey into the world of content creation. Stefan had been working at a highly successful financial institution for about five years once he had an experience that would lead him down a different life path. This experience caused him to spend time truly reflecting on what he was doing with his life, where he was going, and if he was happy with it. After a long reflection the conclusion was no, he was not happy with any of it.
He took his new realization as a second chance to do what truly makes him happy, which led him to a role as an ambassador for Luxury World Traveler from Gil Antolin. He decided to quit his 9-5 job and board a one way plane to wherever his finger landed on a globe. The mentorship that Gill, the founder of Luxury World Traveler, gave to Stefan provided him with the resources that made him the person he is today. After a short amount of time he was able to open his own marketing and social media consulting company, LuxVision Media Group. He went after his dreams and let what he was passionate about in life guide him to his success.
Stefan was following his dreams and doing what he was passionate about, but he still struggled every step of the way. He needed to step out of his comfort zone and ignore any and all doubts that he had about his decision, this can be impossible for most people. He advises anyone who wants to follow their dreams to just go for it and don’t let the struggles along the way deter you from the end goal. Despite enjoying what he does, Stefan still faces struggles everyday. Since he is in the content creation business, his success relies entirely on his creativity. He has to calculate every photo, video, post, and concept that he makes. He has to constantly be thinking about his next move and how he will keep improving.
The marketing industry is more competitive than it has ever been, if Stefan were not the marketing expert that he is he would not be where he is today. He has to constantly be delivering material that sets him apart from the rest and keeps him on everyone’s radar. It is a very stressful job that requires countless hours, but the opportunity to do what he is passionate about for a living makes up for it.
