Working for 50 years in the Show business, Veteran Star Michael Douglas reveals he has no plans to retire until now.
He is still so young at heart, and the way he expresses his love for wife, Catherine Zeta quoting, “She still gives me butterflies.” Michael gives us some serious fun-loving life goals, “I can not imagine retiring ever. Unless I stop walking or breathing. No, I love what I am doing. I just hope to keep going, as long as, there are parts for old people.”
The fabled actor has been working in the business for more than five decades now, getting his start on CBS’ The Experiment in 1969, achieving his stardom in acting in the series The Streets of San Francisco which was showcased from 1972 to 1976.
He confirms that award shows still makes him nervous. Being nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series category for The Kominsky Method which airs on Netflix. Married in 2000, he says, “Well I am not a good public speaker. For my wife and I, we don’t live here. We live back east and we live in the country. So, we look at it as an opportunity to come out and see a lot of old friends and go to these shows, people we love or admire.” The couple has two children together, Dylan Michael, 19 and Carys Zeta, 16.

As we all know this won’t be the first Emmy Award for the Douglas, which he won for an Outstanding Lead Actor category. The Emmy award was for his 2013 released movie ‘Behind the Candelabra’.

And how can we forget his father, Kirk Douglas, a legendary Hollywood actor who is now 102-years old! Michael shares that he and his father have a very different and deep bond. He still runs to him for some fatherly advice. Recalling one, he shared his father’s best advice till now is, “Just Know you did the best job that you can and screw it. Screw it. Just walk away and leave it And, have fun!”
